Day 5. Today we had the joy of going out a bit later, as i had an hygienist appointment (For the record, my Polish hygienist was not happy with my level of flossing over the last 3 months, but she had a wonderful time back home over Christmas, although disappointed they had no snow)!

Today’s run was 1.3 miles, which was made easier by the glowing light of morning, although let me say a bit colder of late (I feel snow is in the air).

Today’s song choices were delivered by Madness (not wings of a dove this time, but lovestruck, which is not a record that springs to mind when considering their repertoire of songs, but indeed a good song to run to), Rihanna and Michael Jackson (a proper song from the “off the wall” album).

Today at work, I had a lot of meetings and all of them were about planning technologies that we plan to deliver over the coming months. I’m not going to bore the non-techies readers with the details, but suffice to say these projects should keep me and my team challenged and busy for some time.

At the end of the day, I spent some time boring poor James Bellshaw with my strategy around Twitter and my blog. Therefore I thought he deserved a mention, as it will be fun to see if he mentions this bit tomorrow!

Total #janathon mileage after day 11 (day 5 for us) = 4.89 miles. Tomorrow evening I have the added joy of playing football for an hour (my normal weekly exercise), so my next blog should be full of my goal scoring antics (hmmm. maybe not)!

And now my daily #jokeathon

Q. Why do men like love at first sight?
A. It saves them a lot of time

And to finish, I thought what about a #lyricathon. What song and band? Answer tomorrow.

A love-struck Romeo sings the streets a serenade
Laying everybody low with a love song that he made.
Finds a streetlight, steps out of the shade
Says something like, “You and me babe, how about it?”
