Day 25.Today’s run was just over a mile, although I thought it would be longer (got my distance wrong).

As normal for a Wednesday, today was about negotiating bins, bin men and puddles (big deep one not avoided)!

Today was another black (soon to be grey) gloomy London day with a constant drizzle in the air. Roll on summer! I do wonder how I will motivate myself once #janathon is out the way, but I guess thinking about cycling to Brighton (London to Brighton bike ride) during the early hours of the morning in May with thomas might help, as clearly still need to improve my fitness!

Total #janathon mileage after day 25 is 31 miles. Grainne thinks I have a target (and guess what – she is correct), but I’m not sharing it yet!

There are now only 3 days to the big dance event in our life (another plug for Georgina’s show this week. Dynamic Dance). Over the next day or two she will get nervous (as always), but I will go over the moves with her (gets all her talent from me) and she will be fine (joking)!

Today was another busy day at work and exciting, as we are now only days away from two key product launches (so no pressure). Hope to close out my staff annual objectives this week, as mine are now clear.

Today’s song choices included Bruce Springsteen who is featured in my #lyricathon. Yesterday’s answer was Spandau Ballet and “Through the Barricades”.

“In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on Highway 9
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and stepping out over the line
Baby, this town rips the bones from your back
It’s a death trap, it’s a suicide rap
We got to get out while we’re young”

And now my daily #jokeathon

Q. What do you get if you cross a chicken with a cement mixer?
A. A brick layer!

And my quote for the day. A bonus point for getting the person. Yesterday’s was the words of David Allan Coe.
“Equality is the soul of liberty; there is, in fact, no liberty without it”

  1. 50 miles would be a good target! You can do that!
