Day 27. Today’s run was in the evening (but still dark) due to an early morning project meeting at Bank to discuss our impending move to the square mile.
How pleasant it was to walk over London Bridge this morning in the early morning daylight, albeit with slightly aching calf’s after several weeks of running and last night’s football.
After a mere skip across to Dexter House in Tower Hill for a meeting with our Facilities Director, it was a dash off to Guildford for a meeting with Avaya to see their new Flare collaboration product , which is pretty impressive (honestly no royalties).
Today’s run was just over a mile and involved a stop at the station to oyster out (I won’t bother boring you with the detail) and a run down the broadway past the chip shop, Kebab shop and various restaurants, hence tonight it looks like my favourite pies, mash and liqueur home delivery.
It had to be quick, as Grainne is out with the girls in Worcester Park (men better say in – hmm. maybe an early morning run is in order tomorrow to clear her head).
Total #janathon mileage after day 27 is 33.62 miles.
Today’s song choices included Squeeze who are featured in my #lyricathon. Yesterday’s answer was UB40 and “Don’t slow down”.
“The case was pulled
From under the bed
She made a call
To a sympathetic friend; and made arrangements
The door was closed
There was a note
I couldn’t be bothered
Maybe I’ll chuck the whole engagement”
And now my daily #jokeathon
Q. How do you make a hot dog stand?
A. Steal its chair.
And my quote for the day. A bonus point for getting the person. Yesterday’s was the words of Mahatma Gandhi.
“The community which has neither poverty nor riches will always have the noblest principles”
