Last night, we had Paul (Bridges) 30th birthday party in a hall in Hither Green. He had a band called “Phase 3”, which were pretty good, but because of the venue, the band and and the age of the people (including us), it was like watching an episode of Phoenix Nights.

Thankfully though it was “Phase 3” rather than the racist folk band “Half a Shilling” from Peter Kaye’s classic and an absolute brilliant evening was had by all.

Unfortunately I still felt rough, which put a damper on the evening for me.

Today has been worse, as after visiting the pharmacist, the optician, Sutton Eye Hospital and St. Helier Hospital, The NHS system has now finally confirmed that I have an eye infection, so now on anti-biotics. Just about sums up my week!

So in a Bridget Jones style:

1 x sprained ankle (has stopped me playing football and running)
1 x man flu (took me out for 3 days)
Several cold sores
1 x eye infection

February has been a dreadful month for fitness considering I was supposed to start my bike training. Roll on March!

In terms of yesterday’s birthday inspired quote, it was Benjamin Franklin and the Lyrics were Kayne West and Celebration.

No quote or lyrics today, but hopefully back tomorrow.
