Well my first blog after what seems an eternity!

So much has happened during the last 2 and a bit weeks, but the main event was the wedding of my niece Keeley and her groom Will in Mexico. It was a beautiful event for two very special individuals and their wonderful families and friends.

Over the next week or two, I will try and fill in some of the gaps, as we shared the celebration in South America with Georgina as a bridesmaid and Thomas as an usher, but in addition we swam with dolphins and turtles, visited ruins and generally had the most amazing time. Watch this space for our memories and some photos of the wedding and holiday.

On the social front, it just seems to get busier over the next week, as we have a wedding reception for the happy couple on Saturday near Dartford (a long way from Mexico) and a Steps concert tonight at the O2!

Now before all my close friends and colleagues start battering me with comments, I am only attending Steps, as my daughter has no idea how to do the tragedy routine (I must be going through a mid life crisis. What happened to real gigs)!

On a related bad music point, why do so many people love YMCA. On holiday, it was played as a mix in the nightclub, as well as in the middle age bar! It has dreadful lyrics and absolutely no real meaning!

I’ve been back to work since Tuesday and thankfully not too many surprises whilst I was away.

Good for Enterprise is now being rolled out to a wider population in our business and today I have had news that the Windows Mobile version is imminent. This is exciting, as it opens up another set of customers who can exploit the product.

It’s now only 3 days till we move our function to our new office near Bank and today I visited to ensure everything is looking good for the go live.

Although there are still some last minute issues, I’m pleased to say that our new global office wireless solution that we are piloting at our own office is now working and our new Network Operations Centre looks very cool.

Tomorrow is my last working day in Wimbledon after nearly 14 years, so it will be a sad day that will be softened by several leaving drinks at the Alex, a location that has housed many leaving drinks of my SThree colleagues over this period.

Time to go, as H and co are waiting for me…..
