Only 5 days to the BHF bike ride and, as promised, I won’t stop mentioning it until we clear at least £500, so you better all start donating!

Unfortunately Andy Johnson had to drop out today due to a nasal infection, so I think there are only 6 of us now from SThree, as well as 4 friends and family.

Yesterday’s landmark picture was of the Lloyds building which was designed by the architect Richard Rogers and took eight years to build.

Today’s poser relates to Tower 42, the second tallest building in the city of London at 600ft high, but what building is taller?

The working week pretty much started the way the last one finished, with meetings!

Two of the meetings were mainly strategic with two of our core suppliers, Microsoft and Samsung, mapping out our future direction with them and their products.

After a meeting with one of my direct reports, Kim White, to check progress on her objectives, we had a session on Business Continuity.

Although the short term focus of this session was primarily to do with the Olympics, it’s longer term focus was all about how we deal with operational cover should our services be disrupted for any reason at Bank.

Although we already have a broad plan in place, its an appropriate time to revisit considering some of the logistical challenges we may now have with our new location and staff transportation arrangements.

There are now 68 days to the Olympics.

Yesterday’s event that requires one of the two competitors to have a certificate indicating experience in top international competition, as well as a team and individual discipline and where faults count against you was Equestrian eventing.

Today’s event includes a Keirin and Omnium and makes you go around in circles?

For those who care, this is the real Daley Thompson from my photo gallery yesterday!

For the record, as Lew does not read my blog (hopefully not), the likeness is the only sporting similarity they have (sorry Lew)!

The highlight of the day has to go the initial feedback I had on a draft web site I have created for my niece using Moonfruit.

Their web site makes it very easy to design a simple site with no costs and is quite cheap to then add features. Very impressive for creating simple sites.
